DESCRIPTION:Afretec Sustainability & Environment Cluster\, UNILAG(şěĚŇĘÓƵ)\, is organizing a workshop from June 2 to 4\, 2026. \nThe workshop titled: “Empowering Africa’s Energy Transition: Innovations\, Challenges\, and Collaborative Pathways” is designed to foster dialogue among policymakers\, researchers\, and technical experts from Africa with the goal of advancing a shared vision for sustainable energy systems and research infrastructures across the continent. \nThe workshop will hold as follows:\n• June 2\, 2026 – Online (Webinar)\n• June 3-4\, 2026 – Physical workshop by 9:00am (strictly by invitation)\n• Venue for Physical Workshop: şěĚŇĘÓƵ\, Nigeria \nIt will feature collaborative sessions focused on case studies of successful energy projects in Africa; expert-led panels and working groups which will address financing\, technology\, and policy integration; interactive sessions which will map key barriers such as grid infrastructure and policy inconsistency as well as a hands-on dialogue on off-grid and mini-grid innovations.
