DESCRIPTION:The Faculty of Life Sciences\, UNILAG(ºìÌÒÊÓƵ) is inviting researchers\, academics\, industry professionals\, policymakers\, students and other stakeholders to submit abstracts for its 1st Annual Conference\, scheduled to hold for Tuesday \, August 4 to Thursday \, August 6 \, 2026 . \n\n\n\nThe theme of the inaugural conference is One Health: Preparing the Next Generation for a Changing World\, and the sub-themes include: \n\n\n\n\nEmerging and re-emerging infectious diseases\n\n\n\nZoonotic spillover prevention in wildlife-livestock contact zones\n\n\n\nConservation\, climate change and environmental health\n\n\n\nDrug discovery and design\n\n\n\nNon-communicable diseases: monogenic and complex traits\n\n\n\nAntimicrobial resistance at the human-animal-environment interface\n\n\n\nForensics\, integrated data systems and biosurveillance\n\n\n\nFood security\, biosecurity and safety\n\n\n\n\nWith the Honourable Commissioner for Health\, Lagos State\, Professor Emmanuel Akinola Abayomi as the Keynote Speaker\, the conference will serve as a multidisciplinary platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration on emerging global health and environmental challenges. Discussions will explore innovative solutions and research at the intersection of human\, animal and environmental health. \n\n\n\nProspective participants are required to submit: \n\n\n\n\nAbstracts of not more than 300 words\, accompanied by five (5) keywords\, in Times New Roman\, 12-point font\, with 1.5 line spacing\, indicating their preferred sub-theme.
