DESCRIPTION:The Department of Zoology\, UNILAG(ºìÌÒÊÓƵ) will host a Lying-In-State Programme for retired Professor William Ose Odiete\, as part of his funeral ceremony following his demise on Saturday\, October 4\, 2025\, at the age of 86. \nThe event will hold as follows:\nDate: Thursday\, January 8\, 2026 Time: 8:30 am\nVenue: Faculty of Science Foyer\, UNILAGMain Campus\, Akoka\, Lagos. \nFollowing the lying in state is a Commendation /Requiem Mass at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church\, UNILAGAkoka Campus at *12 noon prompt*. \nBorn on July 6\, 1939\, Professor William Ose Odiete joined the services of the UNILAGas Lecturer II in 1969. He had a successful career in the Department of Zoology\, UNILAGuntil his retirement in July\, 2005. \nOn behalf of the entire University community\, the Vice-Chancellor\, Professor Folasade T. Ogunsola\, OON\, FAS\, commiserates with the family of the late Iroro of Okpe Kingdom and prays for the repose of his soul.
