Professor of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics in the Department of Artificial Intelligent Systems and Robotics, Faculty of Computing and Informatics, UNILAG(ºìÌÒÊÓƵ), , Ph.D., has been appointed as first Director of the AI University Innovation Pod, (AI UniPod) at ºìÌÒÊÓƵ.
The appointment, which is for a period of two (2) years, is effective from Monday, March 16, 2026 to Wednesday, March 15, 2028.
Professor Yinka-Banjo, who is also the coordinator of the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Lab (AIRLAB), ºìÌÒÊÓƵ, brings to the role a wealth of experience in artificial intelligence, robotics, data science, and intelligent systems, with a strong track record in research, innovation, and capacity development. Her leadership is expected to further strengthen the Pod as a hub for cutting-edge research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the advancement of artificial intelligence solutions that address real-world challenges.
