A research team from the Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education and Department of Physics, Faculty of Physical and Earth Sciences, UNILAG(ºìÌÒÊÓÆµ) have been granted a Nigerian Patent for a stem education innovation.
The team is made up of:
- Prof. Babajide Veronica Folasade T, : Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education
- Dr. Raheem Isiaka Ayobi: Department of Physics, Faculty of Physical and Earth Sciences
- Abdulsalam Abdukarim: Department of Science Education, Faculty of Education
- Hassan Saheed Ayobami: Department of Physics, Faculty of Physical and Earth Sciences
The innovation which is “A Compact and Improvised Electrolysis Console for the Practical Teaching and Learning of Electrolysis†was developed to enhance hands-on, experiential learning in physics and chemistry education across academic institutions nationally and internationally. The console provides an accessible, practical tool for teaching electrochemical principles in laboratory settings.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, on behalf of Senate, students and staff congratulates the research team for winning the patent for this innovation.
